Mutton Soup Recipe: A Nourishing Delight

Ingredients:

  • 500g mutton (bone-in for added flavor)

  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2-3 cardamom pods
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or ghee
  • 1.5 liters of water
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Equipment Needed:

  • Pressure cooker or a large soup pot
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Stirring spoon
  • Ladle
  • Strainer (optional if you prefer a clear soup)

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Preparation
    • Rinse the mutton pieces thoroughly and set them aside
    • Chop all vegetables and keep them ready
  2. Sautéing the Spices and Vegetables:
    • Heat oil or ghee in a pressure cooker or soup pot over medium heat
    • Add cumin seeds, cardamom pods, and bay leaf. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant

  3. Adding Mutton and Spices:
    • Add the mutton pieces to the pot and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are lightly browned
